How The Anxious Pet Got Started?

The Anxious Pet was started by a team of entrepreneurs who came with experience from companies like Drs. Foster & Smith, PetSmart, PetMd, Pet360, Petco and Chewy. After starting out by gathering passionate pet industry experts in product development, education, research, and a cutting edge veterinarian, they sourced and made with responsibility their current line up of products.

From there they began to manufacture their products in Colorado, which are vegan and grain free. All products are third party laboratory tested and a COA (certificate of analysis) can be found in the product description on each items product page on the website.

The Anxious Pet’s claims their sole purpose is to help pets live happier, more peaceful lives. They seek to offer simple and effective solutions to the challenges parents of anxious pets deal with on a daily basis.

How We Tested?

You may have come across many The Anxious Pet product reviews in your search and unfortunately anyone can gather information from other reviews and make their own. Or maybe the review is skewed because they received the product for free in exchange for a more influential outcome. That is not what this review is about.

To be completely transparent, we did receive The Anxious Pet products from the company to try out on our pets, but there were no expectations involved. Our goal is to provide you with a sense of what the actual consumer experience is like from beginning to end.

We provide real reviews because you deserve real tried and true opinions, along with pros and cons that can help you make a well-informed decision about whether the product in question is something your own dog will enjoy or benefit from, and whether you will benefit in any way.

In summary, we received a box of The Anxious Pet CBD products to test on our dog. Therefore, a real dog ingested the CBD products and provided us with quick, trustworthy feedback.

Why You Should Trust Our Review of The Anxious Pet?

We actually tried these CBD products on our dog. We did not copy or sum up information from other pet parents’ experiences, and we did not re-post The Anxious Pet’s own claims. We also wanted to see the products for ourselves as well as monitor how our dog responds to this CBD vs. what he has tried in the past.

Because my dog has tried CBD for joint pain, without issues, he was the dog we used for this review. His name is Sampson and he is a 6 year old shepherd/pit bull mix who eats anything and everything, but can sometimes sense strange ingredients in his food. Sampson doesn’t have any health concerns, conditions, or special needs but gets a little overly excited on road trips.

After receiving the CBD products, Sampson spent the next 2 weeks testing the Anxious Pet CBD products in rotation.

During the trial period, we watched for changes in Sampson’s health and behavior. Since he usually needs calming in the car when travelling, we made sure to administer The Anxious Pet CBD products prior to hitting the road.

Who This Review Is For?

With so many CBD pet product reviews out there for average pet owners, we wanted to take it a step further. Average pet owners just want a nudge to decide if a CBD product is safe, inexpensive and tasty enough for the average dog to experience.

This review is different. We wrote it with extra-engaged pet parents in mind. People, like us, who only want the very best for their furry family members. People who want lab tested products as well as quality ingredients and do not mind spending a few extra bucks doing so.

Our Experience

For the sake of this review we began by going to The Anxious Pet’s website to have a look around and see what they have to offer our dog. Not only do they have CBD oil, bars and chews but they also offer products for cats.

The website is very easy to use, the reviews on their website are all very positive and the pictures of the products are very well marketed. The site also offers a blog page that offers articles about health issues and how CBD can help.

With a great website, great marketing and so many great reviews, it’s hard not to be convinced they offer a good product, but that is not enough for us.

There is no need to set up a profile for your pet and there is no subscriptions to worry about getting locked into. However, you can subscribe to auto re-fill and save 15% on your CBD products if you chose to do so.

You are able to choose from CBD oils in 400 mg or 800 mg as well as supplement bars and chews in different flavors. The bars and chews are targeted to treat your dogs issues with hip and joint, immunity, allergy, inflammation and calming.

If you are not sure which products is best for your dog, you can use the “take the quiz” button and answer questions about your dog’s size, eating habits, health issues and more, for a recommendation on which product is best.

The Anxious Pet does offer kits where you can buy flavored dog chews and CBD oil at a discounted price. They also offer free shipping.

The Anxious Pet offers a whopping 60 day money back guarantee if you or your pet is not completely satisfied with their products.

The Unboxing

The Anxious Pet package arrived in a cute small recyclable box with lots of shredded paper to keep items safe during transport. The box had their logo and a welcome greeting printed on the inside lid. It also included instructions with ingredients and dosing on a small card.

The CBD dog treats were in an air tight plastic container and the bottle of CBD oil was in a box.

What Does Sampson Think About The Anxious Pet?

I started my dog Sampson out with the peanut butter CBD dog chews which are for calming. Because he will eat anything, especially peanut butter flavor, he had no complaints with the chews. I rotated between treats and CBD oil over the next two weeks.

Depending on what you are treating and your dog’s size, the amount of dosing may vary. The Anxious Pet dosing chart recommends dosages based on your dog’s age and weight. Depending on the mg’s of CBD your bottle contains, you will want to use that chart when dosing your dog.

Adding The Anxious Pet CBD oil tincture to Sampson’s kibble

According to the directions on the CBD oil tincture, you have the option to administer directly into your dogs mouth, or mix into his food at mealtime. Always shake the bottle before using the dropper.

When I dosed Sampson with the CBD oil tincture, I added it directly to his food and he usually doesn’t notice anything unusual. Since he weighs around 60 pounds and is over 5 years old, I added 1ml of the 400 mg CBD oil to his food at dinner. It did take about 1 hours to start working.

When I gave Sampson the CBD chews, I just administered them like treats and he loved them. These can be given at anytime during the day and if you give more than one should be split between morning and evening doses. The suggested dosage for the chews can be found on the back of the container or on their website. My dog can have up to 3 chews a day based on his age and weight.
